Department of Swasthavritta and Department of Rasashatra & Bhaishajyakalpana organized a three-day workshop on Nutrient Analysis of Food Articles in collaboration with NIFTEM (National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management). The workshop encompassed hands on training like HPLC. The workshop gave the opportunity for the scholars to work on various topics like Oil extraction by soxlet’s Apparatus, Moisture estimation by hot air oven, ash content estimation by muffle furnace, components of HPLC and its application. The workshop concluded with the discussion and doubt clearance session in which the scholars actively participated.
International Yoga Day (IDY) – 2020
Date of Event: 21st June 2019 Location of Event: AIIA, New Delhi IDY was conducted on 2019 at AII Campus. More than 500 people gathered to practice Yoga at the event. Event was coordinated by Dept of Swasthavritta. Dr Reddy and R K Sharma from Delhi Municpal corporation attended as chief guest for the event.
Poshan Maah – September 2020
To create awareness among the general public about the importance of Nutrition, Poshan Maah was organized by Department of Swasthvritta for the month of September 2019. Awareness lectures for the patient visiting OPD of All India Institute of Ayurveda – Lectures related to nutrition like anaemia, diet during pregnancy, diet for adolescent etc. were delivered to patients and they were encouraged for healthy diet. The lecture was followed by the interaction and quiz for patients. The winners were awarded with prizes.
International Yoga Day (IDY) – 2021
The Department of Swasthavritta organised International Day of Yoga in AIIA conducted various competitions and activities in its premises and virtually with the theme “Be with Yoga, Be at Home” as per the guidelines of MOA. Many experts and scholars participated in these competitions. The vents organised in IDY 2021 ere online guest lectures, yoga awareness speech in Vaccination Drive, Protocol training and Online yoga session. Competitions held under IDY 2021 Online Yoga Quiz Competition, Poster making Competition, and Essay writing competition.
Poshan Maah – September 2021
On the occasion of Poshaan Maah, the Department of Swasthavritta organized a demonstration of Nutritional recipe’s in front of Mrs Smriti Irani, Cabinet Minister, Ministry of Women & Child welfare on 1st September. Department of Swasthvritta conducted awareness lecture series for 7 days to educate OPD patients regarding food, nourishment and diet. The event was followed by a quiz for patients.
Food Expo
The department of Swathavritta participated on the eve of 6th Ayurveda day during the event AYUR – UDYAM, organized Food Expo to exhibit the strength of Ayurveda in Food sector and to bring together the various stakeholders of Ayurveda. Various Innovative recipes like ready to eat healthy foods were showcased. The department of Swasthvritta exhibit recipes such has candy, Nutri bar and Amalyaki Chutney.
Ayush Expo & Food Festival at NIA
National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur is organised AYUSH Expo and Aahar Mela between March 11 and 13 at Shilpgram, Jawahar Kala Kendra. The purpose of this programme is to make the public aware of the properties of food, methods of preparing food and how to prepare food, what is the right way to eat. People would be made aware of improving their health, diet method, improving immunity. The Department of Swasthavritta participated in the Ayush Expo & Food Festival exhibited healthy recipes like Tomato puff, cream onion, ragi finger, Paushtik Drink, Hrydum bar, Ajus bar Til Ladoo etc.
Ayush Chef Competition
The Ayush Chef Competition, launched by Department of Swasthvritta, AIIA in association with the National Institute of Naturopathy (NIN), Pune, and the Central Council for Research in Naturopathy, aims to make people aware of the nutritional value of our forgotten native ingredients and recipes by giving them a modern twist, and to assess the nutritional value of our new-age kitchen ingredients.
Under the theme ‘Ahara for Poshan’, the Master Chef Competition had six entry categories, namely, Cereal-based preparations, millets-based preparations, nuts/pulses-based preparations, fruits/vegetable-based preparations, dairy product-based preparations and Fusion.
CME in Swasthavritta
CME in Swasthavritta sponsored by Rashtriya Ayurved Vidyapeeth was conducted at AIIA from 22nd July to 27th July 2019. Sh Pramod Kumar Pathak, Additional Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH was the chief guest of the inaugural function and the event was presided by Prof. Dr Tanuja Nesari, Director, AIIA. 14 Resource persons and 27 participants attended the CME from across the nation.
